Dear Colleagues,

On behalf of Conference Series, it is my pleasure to invite scientists, academicians, young researchers, business delegates, and students from all over the world to attend the International Conference “Steel Congress 2017”.  It will include keynote presentations, oral talks, poster presentations and exhibitions and will be held on November 16-17, 2017 in London, UK.

The goal of the 2017 meeting is to bring together, once again, a multi-disciplinary group of scientists and engineers from all over the world to present and exchange breakthrough ideas relating to the science, engineering and marketing of steel. We’re looking forward to another excellent meeting, with experts from countries throughout the world sharing their new and exciting results in steel research and development.

Steel remains central to the development of civilization, but continues to develop to meet new challenges. The fundamental science behind the strength and toughness of steels is being understood for the first time, and will be presented at the conference.  New and more exciting prospects are already in view, in terms of improved casting techniques which can yield greatly superior properties at reduced cost.

 

All these areas are fast moving fields of research with great promise for tonnage markets, including structural and seismic applications, but also niche safety critical applications including such vital components as helicopter drive gear. The future for steel is exciting.
