Biography

Fábio Duarte is urban planner, having worked as the head-consultant for the transportation and urban mobility plan of Curitiba, Brazil, among other projects. Professor of urban management at the Pontificia Universidade Catolica do Parana, in Curitiba, Dr. Duarte has been visiting professor at the Polytechnic University of Catalunya, Yokohama National University in Japan, and visiting scholar at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, U.S. Currently, Dr. Duarte is research associate at Harvard Graduate School of Design, and consultant for the World Bank.In 2005 he received the Faculty Enrichment Award from the Government of Canada.
